American TelePhysicians (ATP), a Florida-based healthcare technology company, has been chosen by the UAE and Jordanian governments to spearhead the development of a cutting-edge virtual hospital in Jordan. This prestigious project, part of a broader digital healthcare initiative, is funded by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development as part of its AED 370 Million investment aimed at revolutionizing Jordan's healthcare sector.
The virtual hospital will connect healthcare facilities across Jordan to a central command center staffed by multi-specialist physicians and clinical staff. This unified, AI-powered digital healthcare platform will integrate specialty care platforms to enhance access, improve outcomes, and reduce costs.
ATP will collaborate with industry leaders including Experia, Philips, Electronic Health Solutions (Hakeem), Presight, and Malaffi (Abu Dhabi Health Information Exchange) to bring this innovative project to fruition. The company's role includes building the virtual hospital's integrated digital front door in partnership with Hakeem and Philips.
Additionally, ATP will deploy its AI-powered virtual kidney care platform, NephroX, to connect dialysis units with virtual nephrologists and nurses. This system will enable real-time monitoring of dialysis patients and facilitate timely interventions in collaboration with on-site staff, aiming to reduce hospitalizations.
Dr. Waqas Ahmed, CEO of American TelePhysicians, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "As specialists in building smart healthcare ecosystems, we are honored to be selected for this innovative international venture. This project will not only transform healthcare for millions but also set new standards for smart healthcare in international markets."
The selection of ATP for this groundbreaking project underscores the company's expertise in digital health solutions and its commitment to improving global healthcare access and quality.
